Closed Golf Courses in Las Vegas
Which Southern Nevada courses have shut, exactly when, and what stands there now.
Land in Las Vegas is worth more than the golf on it, and courses have gone accordingly. The web has been slow to catch up. Closed courses still appear as bookable in directories, their old sites go dark unannounced, and search results contradict each other for years afterwards. This page is the correction: every closure we can document, with the date it happened and what replaced it.
A closure gets listed here once it is confirmed and dated. No exceptions. Where a property has sold but its future is undecided, we say so rather than guess. Each entry links to a full profile with the course's history, design and specifications as it played.

The closures, most recent first
Each entry records the confirmed closure date, what happened to the property, and where the golf went.
Bear's Best Las Vegas
Closed June 30, 2025 · Summerlin
More than two decades as a Summerlin daily-fee course, then the public tee sheet closed for good.
What replaced it: Amara Golf and Social Club, a private members-only redevelopment with a reported opening target of October 2026. Same land, shorter guest list.
Primm Valley Golf Club
Closed July 2024 · Primm (Day Trip)
Both Tom Fazio courses are gone, the Lakes and the Desert. The property sold and is slated for industrial redevelopment, with no plans to reopen. Two Fazio layouts, worth more as dirt than as golf.
Black Mountain Golf & Country Club
Closed November 26, 2018 · Henderson
Henderson's oldest club had been open since 1959, which counted for nothing in the end. The Desert Nine went first, in 2013. A Lennar residential community is going up on the rest.
Silverstone Golf Club
Closed September 1, 2015 · North & Northwest Las Vegas
Bob Cupp's 27 holes in northwest Las Vegas. Sold at auction in May 2025, with no reopening date announced.

How do you decide what counts as closed?
Confirmation plus a date. Hearsay is not enough. Temporary closures for overseeding, renovation or seasonal maintenance do not count. Every open course on this site carries a "details verified" date so you can see how current the entry is.
