About Silverstone Golf Club

Designed by Golf World Architect of the Year Robert (Bob) Cupp and opened in 2001, Silverstone featured three distinct nine-hole loops — Mountain, Valley, and Desert — on a roughly 270-acre site in the Silverstone Ranch community. The Mountain nine's par-5 third hole, stretching 653 yards from the tips, was touted as the longest hole in Nevada at the time. The club operated as a semi-private facility until it closed effective September 1, 2015, following mounting financial losses and multiple bankruptcies. The clubhouse was later destroyed by fire during the closure, and the property sold at a Clark County trustee auction in May 2025 to a Las Vegas land investor for approximately $2.8 million.

Reviews of Silverstone Golf Club

Silverstone was once a genuine design standout in northwest Las Vegas, offering three playable nines with real variety and some of the valley's most distinctive elevation changes. As of 2026 the course remains shuttered with no announced redevelopment timeline; deed restrictions require the land to be used as a 27-hole golf course unless a supermajority of Silverstone Ranch homeowners approve an alternative, so a return to golf is legally possible but currently speculative.

Can you still play Silverstone Golf Club?

Silverstone is not open for play and cannot be booked. Golfers looking for a northwest Las Vegas public option should check nearby Painted Desert or Las Vegas Paiute. Follow local news for any reopening announcement tied to the new ownership.
