About Primm Valley Golf Club

Designed entirely by Tom Fazio, Primm Valley's Lakes Course opened in February 1997 and was ranked among Golf Digest's Best New Courses; the Desert Course followed in 1998 at 7,131 yards, par 72. The 36-hole facility sat alongside I-15 roughly 40 miles south of Las Vegas, drawing traffic from the Primm resort-casino complex. MGM Resorts sold the property in July 2024 to investors who closed the courses and announced plans to convert the roughly 543-acre site to industrial/logistics use. As of 2026, the fairways are no longer maintained and no reopening is planned.

Reviews of Primm Valley Golf Club

Primm Valley was once one of the most accessible marquee-designer experiences within 40 minutes of Las Vegas, with two distinct Fazio layouts at everyday-golfer prices. That chapter is now closed: the property was sold in 2024 and is slated for industrial redevelopment, with no credible indication of golf returning. Golfers who remember the Lakes or Desert courses should seek the experience elsewhere.

Can you still play Primm Valley Golf Club?

Not currently playable. Golfers seeking a similar quick-getaway Fazio experience or an I-15 corridor round should look at other Southern Nevada daily-fee options. This page is preserved for historical reference and to confirm the course's closure status.

Good to know before you play

  • The new owners have stated intentions to redevelop the ~543 acres for industrial/logistics use, not golf.
  • The surrounding Primm casino resorts have also been winding down operations.
  • Do not attempt to book tee times — the course is closed and not operational.
