Black Mountain Golf & Country Club
Henderson's oldest golf club, designed by Bob Baldock and open since 1959, permanently closed in November 2018 and is being redeveloped as a Lennar residential community.
About Black Mountain Golf & Country Club
Black Mountain Golf & Country Club opened in 1959 as one of Southern Nevada's earliest golf destinations, with the original Founders Nine designed by Bob Baldock. The Horizon Nine was added to create a full 18-hole layout, and a Desert Nine followed later, making it a 27-hole facility. For six decades the semi-private club served as a community anchor in Henderson's foothills. After years of declining membership and financial losses, the club permanently closed on November 26, 2018. The Henderson City Council subsequently approved a plan to build a master-planned residential community on the former course land.
