Southern Nevada Amateur Championship
Two rounds, 36 holes, one champion — the valley's premier open-amateur stroke-play test on Siena's player-friendly Summerlin layout.
Event at a Glance
The Southern Nevada Amateur Championship crowns the valley's best amateur over two rounds of stroke play at Siena Golf Club. With 36 holes and gross-and-net flights, it rewards consistency and stamina as much as flashes of brilliance — the truest test on the regional amateur calendar.
Siena is one of Summerlin's most enjoyable walks: a rolling, Lee Schmidt–Brian Curley design that emphasizes shot-shaping and approach precision over raw length, framed by desert landscaping and mountain views. See our Siena Golf Club feature for the details.
Eligibility & format
The championship is open to amateurs carrying a valid USGA Handicap Index. Players are flighted after a combined two-round total; the low gross score takes the overall title, with net awards in each flight. A practice round is encouraged the week prior.
Late-autumn is prime golf season in Las Vegas — cool mornings, firm turf, and steady conditions. Plan the rest of your trip with our events calendar.
