The Summerlin Junior Open is a summer fixture for the Las Vegas valley's rising talent — a single-day, shotgun-start championship staged on the wide, welcoming fairways of Angel Park Golf Club. Players are grouped into age flights so that nine-year-olds and college-bound seniors compete against their peers rather than the clock.
Angel Park is an ideal stage for developing golfers: its two full courses and famed putting course make it one of the most complete teaching environments in Southern Nevada, and the early-morning shotgun keeps the field ahead of the desert heat. Expect tidy greens, generous landing areas, and a finishing stretch that rewards composure over power.
What to know
Each entrant receives range access, a cart, and a tee gift. Scoring is by 18-hole stroke play within each division, and awards are presented at the turn-house immediately after play. Spectating family members are welcome to walk along, and the clubhouse grill opens early for breakfast.
