Golf at Siena
Siena Golf Club, designed by Brian Curley and Lee Schmidt and opened in 2000, winds through the community and is its social centre. It is semi-private rather than members-only: tee times are open to the public, with green fees of roughly $100 to $275 by season, and membership options exist for residents and regulars. From the Gold tees it plays 6,843 yards at par 72.

Buying in Siena: what to check
Three things trip up golf-community buyers in south Summerlin. First, golf is not included with the house: Siena Golf Club membership, where offered, is a separate arrangement, and most residents simply book public tee times. Second, guard-gated communities carry layered association dues, and the gate, common areas and any sub-association are billed separately; get the current schedule in writing. Third, fairway-view and fairway-adjacent lots carry a premium and a trade-off, since the view comes with early-morning mowers and the occasional stray ball.
