The community takes its name from the striking red sandstone formations visible from much of the property, and it was designed from the outset as a golf-centric enclave for residents who wanted private-club amenities without leaving their front gate. Homes range from single-story patio residences to larger estate properties, and the community is served by a full-service private clubhouse that includes dining, fitness, tennis, and pool facilities. Golf at Red Rock Country Club
The community is anchored by two Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay courses. The Mountain Course (7,001 yards, slope 136) is private, for members and their guests. The Arroyo Course (6,883 yards, slope 125) is semi-private: daily-fee tee times are open to the public through the Arroyo Golf Club, which is how most non-members first play the property. Red Rock Country Club spans 738 acres at Summerlin's western edge, built over eight years by the Howard Hughes Corporation between 1998 and 2006 around the two Palmer courses. Roughly 1,000 homes sit inside the gates, and about 80 percent of them have direct fairway views, a proportion that makes the course experience part of daily life rather than a clubhouse privilege. The inventory ranges from condominiums reported from around $800,000 to estate properties approaching $10 million, with a median value reported near $1.35 million in early 2026. Single-storey patio homes, mid-size family houses and custom estates share the same streets, which gives the community a broader buyer pool than the ultra-private enclaves to the south.
Clubhouse facilities
The club operates three clubhouses. The Main Clubhouse, 44,000 square feet, houses the pro shops, dining venues and administrative offices. The Sports Clubhouse, 9,500 square feet, holds eight tennis courts, three resort pools and the fitness facilities. The Arroyo Clubhouse runs daily-fee golf operations and maintenance for the semi-private course. Membership structure and costs
Red Rock offers tiered memberships, and the figures below are as reported in early 2026. Full Golf carries an initiation fee of about $10,000 with monthly dues of $975 for unlimited golf on both courses. Executive membership, at $7,500 initiation and $680 a month, restricts some peak-time play. Sports membership, $3,000 initiation and $399 a month, covers tennis, fitness and the pools without golf privileges. Owning a home here does not include a membership; the two are separate purchases.
