No. For the first time since 1982, Las Vegas has now gone two full seasons without a PGA TOUR stop. It has not gone without professional golf entirely — verified here is what actually replaced it, and what didn't.
No. The Shriners Children's Open played its final edition at TPC Summerlin in October 2024, and no PGA TOUR event has been scheduled in Las Vegas since — not in the 2025 FedEx Cup Fall, and not anywhere in the full 2026 PGA TOUR season. Two consecutive fall seasons have now passed without the tour that owned Las Vegas golf for 42 years.
That is a plain fact and a surprising number of pages online still hedge around it. We did too, in an earlier version of our own Shriners Children's Open coverage — written in June, it called a successor event "an open question." It no longer is. Verified against the PGA TOUR's own 2026 schedule and against the Epson Tour and APGA Tour's own sites, here is the complete, current picture.

Two full years without the PGA TOUR
The Shriners Children's Open ran for 42 consecutive years under nine different names, and its final edition closed with J.T. Poston beating Doug Ghim by a stroke at 22-under par. Days later, Shriners Children's confirmed it would not renew its title sponsorship for 2025, and the PGA TOUR's 2025 FedEx Cup Fall schedule shipped without a Las Vegas stop for the first time since 1982.
That much was reported at the time and is not in dispute. What has been less clearly reported since is that the absence held for a second year. The PGA TOUR's full 2026 season schedule — forty-five official events run from January through November — contains no Las Vegas venue and no mention of TPC Summerlin. The tour's fall stretch runs from North Carolina and Utah through Japan, Bermuda, and Mexico. Las Vegas is not on it.
Nobody has announced why a second year passed without a successor, or whether one is being pursued. If a replacement is in the works, it has not surfaced publicly. One detail worth flagging on its own: TPC Summerlin's own promotional page for the tournament, read on September 16, 2026, still describes the event in the present tense — "is played annually in October," with 2024 dates presented as though they were still ahead. The club's site has not been updated to reflect that the tournament ended.
What's actually here now: the Epson Tour
Las Vegas is not without professional competitive golf — it simply moved down a level. Since 2025, Spanish Trail Country Club, the private Robert Trent Jones Jr. club in southwest Las Vegas, has hosted the Reliance Matrix Championship presented by Epson, a stop on the Epson Tour — the LPGA's official developmental and qualifying circuit, where finishing high on the season money list earns a "Race for the Card" path to full LPGA Tour membership.

The 2026 edition, played May 7–10, produced the best round in the young event's history: Cholcheva Wongras, a tour rookie, closed with a record-setting 26-under-par total, five shots clear of the field, breaking the Epson Tour's own 72-hole scoring record in the process. It was her first professional win. The year before, Yana Wilson had opened the event's history with a two-stroke win at 17-under.
This is not the PGA TOUR, and it is not styled as a replacement for it — it is a women's developmental tour event, sponsored by an insurance company, playing for a fraction of a PGA TOUR purse. But it is real professional golf, played at a real Las Vegas course, twice now, in consecutive years. That makes it the closest thing the valley has to a standing professional tournament at the moment.
Spectator ticketing for the event is not detailed on the tournament's own site (reliancematrixchampionship.com) or on the Epson Tour's tournament page as of this writing — check directly with Spanish Trail Country Club ahead of the 2027 dates if you want to attend.
What showed up once and didn't come back
The valley's professional golf calendar actually thinned slightly between 2025 and 2026, which is easy to miss if you only look at what's currently scheduled. In September 2025, TPC Las Vegas hosted a stop on the APGA Tour — the Advocates Professional Golf Association, a developmental circuit built to expand access to professional golf for Black golfers, run in partnership with the PGA TOUR. Willie Mack III won that event, carding a final-round 64 for his 16th APGA Tour title.
The APGA Tour's published 2026 schedule — fifteen events from January through November, at courses from Torrey Pines to TPC Sawgrass to TPC Scottsdale — does not include Las Vegas or TPC Las Vegas. Whether that is a one-year scheduling gap or a permanent exit is not stated anywhere we could find; the tour simply moved on without comment on the Las Vegas date.
So the honest count for 2026 professional golf in Las Vegas is one event, not two: the Epson Tour's Reliance Matrix Championship. The APGA's single Las Vegas appearance was exactly that — a single appearance.
